One payment of $49 (US dollars) buys one person lifetime access to the online course: all 22 chapters, the reference library, the practice quizzes, the final exam and, on a pass, a certificate of completion. “Lifetime” means for as long as we operate the course; if we ever retire it, we will give reasonable notice and make the material available for download.

Your access is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable. You may read the course, print chapters for your own study, and use the exercises in your own work. You may not share your sign-in, resell or redistribute the material, post it publicly, or use it to teach a class without a separate written licence — write to [email protected] about instructor and institutional licensing.

The text, figures and exercises are © 2026 Asaf Fulks and are registered with the United States Copyright Office. Nothing here transfers ownership.

Access is granted to the email address used at checkout and kept in a signed cookie on the devices you sign in from. You can request a fresh sign-in link at any time, and you can sign out from the link on your welcome page. Keep your sign-in link to yourself: anyone who has it can open the course.

The final exam is graded automatically. The pass mark is 80 percent and you may take up to five graded attempts a day. A pass produces a certificate of completion from The OC Recording Company, signed by the author.

The certificate is a course credential, not an accredited qualification. It is separate from, and does not confer, the accredited in-person certificate program at The OC Recording School, and it is not a degree, licence or professional certification. A certificate issued under a purchase that is later refunded or charged back is void.

Please do not scrape or bulk-download the course, attempt to defeat the access controls, probe the exam for its answer key, or share answer keys with others. We may suspend access that is being used this way, and we may revoke access on a refund or a chargeback.

Every enrollment is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. If the course isn’t for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund you in full — no questions asked. Refunded purchases lose course access, and any certificate issued under a refunded purchase is void. The full policy is on the refund page.

The course teaches craft. It does not promise you work, income, or any particular result — those depend on you. The material is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the course is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.

If we change these terms, the revised version appears here with a new effective date; changes are not retroactive. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California have jurisdiction — without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
